On Wednesday 7th November, the Asian elders group from South Leeds Health for All came to the Project Space to present a series of performances. Hardeep Kaur Kalsi sang and played her 'harmonium' and then the ladies performed a series of dances followed by a presentation of Sikh turban-tying given by Kuldeep Singh Bharaji. Their audience included visitors to the gallery and a group of BA (Hons) Fine Art Students from the University of Leeds. The Asian elders performances filled the space with colours, sounds, life and energy. Amar Kaur from South Leeds Health for All was the final participant to contribute to the Showing: Expectations exhibition. On the evening of Thursday 8th November an event was held titled, 'In Conversation with the Participants'. Doug Sandle (Leeds Metropolitan University), Paul Digby (St Anne's Resource Centre & Open Learning) and Peter Finch (Workers' Educational Association) hosted this open conversation with participants and visitors. The event has since been transcribed and is posted on the 'Critical Reflections' section of the website. Saturday 10th November marked the conclusion of the Showing: Expectations exhibition process at the Project Space, and its continuation in differing but related forms. For example, as a forthcoming book publication documenting the project, in the virtual form presented through this website, through it being presented and discussed at academic conferences, through the film 'Jolene' being edited and produced by Leonor da Silva, and through other forms... unknown and as yet unrealised.
