'A Walk in the Wood'

A Walk in the Wood

I was brave and told my self no more
No more walks,
No more talks,
Just no more your not mine and I'm not yours
.
But
then I succumbed to a talk and from there
To a walk in the woods it didn't take much
Holding hands for a moment,
How I forgot what I said what I promised myself.

A kiss would make me forget and lose my head
I know your not mine
just like I'm not yours.
As we walked and talked in the woods.

And in the cool September light,
as autumn leaves dropped by
I remembered what we did and said
Even though your not mine and I'm not yours.

And for a moment you where mine
and I was yours.
Stolen moments of bliss.
Than back to reality.

You woke me up and remind me of what I really am
Not the person everyone sees.
The one who hides in the woods away from life.
You found me lost and reminded me to love and live
No guilt no recrimination.
Just fun for a while
Then back to reality
For your not mine and I'm not yours
