Leonor da Silva and Sue Wilks are independent artists/researchers/educators who met through their shared research interests while studying in the School of Fine Art, History of Art & Cultural Studies at the University of Leeds.
The concept for Showing: Expectations was initiated by Leonor da Silva, who worked in collaboration with Ignaz Cassar (a fellow PhD student)to further develop the project. Sue Wilks was invited to join the collaboration around four months into the process. Ignaz Cassar left the project on September 26 2007, at the beginning of the exhibition process, and Sue Wilks and Leonor da Silva continued to work together on the project. This website plots the process that was undergone in order to realise the Showing: Expectations concept and documents the changes, successes, failures, outcomes and understanding that have since emerged. |
